What our students say about us
Since I restarted picking up Korean for the nth time last year in quarantine, I knew I had to train and study in the classroom setup to really maximize my learning experience apart from just studying by myself. JKC provided a good environment for that matter and gave emphasis on listening, reading, speaking and writing in Korean consistently in all my classes.
정쌤 was a very engaging facilitator and teacher in class clad with his cool uncle vibe in class; you'll surely learn a lot and will be glad to keep returning. I know I happily would perhaps until I do pass TOPIK II.
So, if you're wondering where's a great place to start your Korean studies, this is the place to be 😉
I used to mostly self-study. I'm kind of an introvert and was kind of hesitant to participate in classes and I was intimidated by the idea of having native Korean teachers. To my surprise, the classes were fun and very enjoyable and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. The teachers are also very good and patient in explaining the language. Hence from the 1st class I signed up for, I kept re-enrolling for the levels.
I started learning Korean informally by myself for 2 years but I was inconsistent, so I decided taking classes would be the way to go.
I found Jung's Korean Classroom on Facebook and enrolled in Level 3, and now I'm currently in Level 7. 정선생님 and 허선생님 are great teachers who are engaging, fun, and helped me understand vocabulary and grammar as well as useful phrases I can use for everyday life. Studying by myself, I couldn't really practice speaking and pronunciation but I am able to do so in class. I'm still trying to gain more confidence but I now feel comfortable writing messages in Korean and I can understand deeper nuances in conversations and music too.
I'm thankful to JKC and hope that I can take the TOPIK soon and apply for my dream university in Korea for my Master's degree soon. Thank you JKC!
I enrolled here with the intention to complete the Elementary 1-4 in preparation for the TOPIK I which I will take later this year, and without a doubt it has made me feel more confident and prepared for the test. The classes have been very fun, engaging, and challenging— most of all, they are taught by highly knowledgeable and passionate native Korean teachers who will undoubtedly push you to be more confident in your speaking skills. Jung’s Korean Classroom has truly been instrumental in helping me elevate my language learning journey and I look forward to growing with the academy in the succeeding levels to come as I continue to evolve in the Korean language.
I bumped into Jung’s Korean Classroom Facebook account one fine day, got interested because they offer online class which is very suitable for me as an overseas worker.
Fast forward to today, I am now in my Elementary 3 class already. I decided to continue learning through JKC because it was well worth it and topics are very relatable to everyday life.
정 종수 선생님 goes at a comfortable learning pace but covers the topics thoroughly and grammar points are clearly explained with ample examples. As a native-Korean speaker, he also gives out some useful tips. He encourages participation in class and asks questions which is very helpful to practice in a way. I definitely enjoyed being taught by him. Highly recommended!
I've self-studied Korean for a while but having a teacher guide me, was definitely more helpful. It's only 3 hours a week but it's definitely worth the time. You also learn a lot in every session!
Teacher Jung is very helpful, and has consistently emphasized throughout the sessions that it's okay to make mistakes and it's okay to mispronounce the words because we're here to learn.
Enrolling in this class was a wise decision if you fancy learning the Korean language since the teacher was a native Korean. It is good to learn from someone who was born and grew up in Korea. And to be honest, I was initially nervous because I assumed this would be a typical class with a serious teacher that would be boring, but I was mistaken. The instructor is both pleasant and humorous. He always ensures that everyone in the class participates, so you will never feel left out. If you don't know the answer, he will not scold you; instead, he will assist you.
Besides that, the instructor's teaching strategy is very organized and well prepared; he will not only teach you how to read and write. He will teach you how to say or write something in Korean precisely. I had no idea learning Korean could be so fun and engaging until I discovered Jung's Korean Classroom. I plan to re-enroll and recommend it to anyone interested in learning Korean.
What I liked about the class is that our writing, speaking, and listening skills were challenged throughout. We got to practice our speaking and listening skills in class and exercise our writing through given homework. Content-wise, the class was fast-paced, simple, and helpful. A lot of topics were covered even though there are only a few sessions.
Honestly, it was challenging enough for me to keep learning yet not too much to actually make me feel so pressured. It was chill and fun. Professor Jung was also really kind so I did not feel scared to try and make mistakes. More than learning the vocabulary and grammar structures, JKC helped me build confidence in my Korean.
Our teacher is very patient and makes the class super fun and not boring. I really enjoy our class and would definitely recommend Jung’s Korean Classroom to my fellow K-drama lover at work.
Jung's Korean Classroom provides a very comprehensive yet comfortable way of teaching which makes learning Korean more fun! Learning Korean through a native Korean made us feel more immersed on the language.
Our teacher Mr. Jung Jong Su ensures that no student is left behind in the lessons and provides examples and expressions which makes it easy to understand.
The staff are also very responsive and attentive towards every inquiry and also provide very attractive discounts making it more affordable to us students.
Overall, Jung's Korean Classroom is highly recommended for people who want to learn regardless of the level.
More power! 화이팅!
It hasn't been so long since I started attending Jung's Korean Classroom. Honestly, I was hesitant to learn in the beginning since it was a first for me, but Mr. Jung's elaborative and considerate nature has given me the confidence to learn and understand the language. Also, it was totally a bonus that he is a native Korean that has first-hand experience with the culture and language since it made the transition and immersion much more fun and easier.
JKC is not only a good Korean school but a VERY GOOD Korean school.
I joined Jung’s Korean Classroom from Beginner to Elementary Level 4. Now, I am an EPS-TOPIK passer with 7 mistakes only. Thanks to my teachers for all the clarifications and guidance that a Korean learner needs.
Choosing JKC has built my confidence in speaking and listening with a native Korean.
